close metro station, beautiful staircase, charming old building
The plumbing certainly leaves much to be desired!!! My bathroom felt cramped, and the lack of a solid hairdryer for the entire hotel was a hassle!!!

Can just recommend for strolling around
Clean room, convenient location, the double bed provided a comfortable night's sleep, and the nearby metro station just in front made exploring so easy.
No complaints from me

I almost gave residencial do sul a glowing review but then i remembered the recalcitrant wifi and the atrocious cleanliness. i mean who wants to deal with dirty sheets and a cray shower? i expected at least a complimentary drink for my troubles, but no special treatment was in sight. what a letdown, truly.

I stayed in a Single Room with Shared Bathroom for 2 nights. The room was super clean, and the bed was comfortable, which was a nice surprise. However, the overall vibe was kind of plain—just bare essentials without any decor. The shared bathroom wasn't ideal, but it was tidy. Great that the metro was right outside, making it easy to get around.

The location is excellent, only a 10-minute walk to Rossio and right near metro stations, making it easy to explore Lisbon. The room was spacious and clean, and the 24-hour front desk was helpful for all our needs. We loved the traditional tiles and friendly atmosphere! It’s a great budget option.
Minor issues with shower pressure.

The friendly staff made my stay enjoyable, and the spotlessly clean kitchen met all my needs. However, the shared bathroom setup was a minor inconvenience, and I found the noise from other guests quite disruptive at times. Still, the large windows in my room provided plenty of sunlight.

It was just an optimal selection for a rapid stop in Lisbon with excellent value for money. One morning, a staff member handled a cockroach issue right in front of us, which was shocking but also entertaining. Avoid bringing too much luggage. storage space is tight.

Had a fantastic stay with friends! The whole place was clean and quiet. It was super convenient, with a metro station just steps away. We enjoyed the nearby café for breakfast and checked out attractions like the iconic Tram 28 and Alfama. I’ll surely return!
My only gripe was the small bathroom space, which felt a bit cramped whenever I was inside.

It was just a prime choice for a weekend rest in Lisbon with attractive and competitive value for money. The old building had a charming staircase that made me feel like I was stepping back in time, and it was nice to sit on the balcony to enjoy the view of the street below. A tip for future visitors is to take advantage of the nearby tram for an easy ride to Alfama.
